The scrap crane is designed for handling and transporting scrap baskets from wagons to a scrap wagon for filling a steelmaking furnace. This crane replaces an obsolete crane.

The new crane is designed with a more powerful and durable construction as a double girder with a main trolley 2 x 55 t for the transport of scrap baskets and an auxiliary cantilever trolley 10 t for auxiliary operations.
