Company introduction

History

The predecessor of Královopolská, a.s., Lederer-Porgess Königsfelder Maschinenfabrik was established in 1889 as a private company for producing railway wagons and steam boilers. It gradually expanded to other mechanical engineering fields.

Significant milestones

• 1891 - Production of equipment for the petrochemical industry initiated.
• 1910 - Patent registration for various products, e.g. heating outlets for releasing steam, hot water, vertical cylindrical countercurrent liquid condenser.
• 1920 - Crane production initiated
• 1950 - Massive development in the production of equipment for the chemical industry
• since 1980 - The bearing fields include equipment for the chemical and petrochemical industry, steel structures and special cranes and supplying nuclear power plants.
• 1994 - Joint-stock company established
• 2004 - private owner

Current

The joint-stock company KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ is a leading supplier of apparatuses for the chemical and petrochemical industry and also cranes, which find applications not only in the metallurgical industry, but also in other sectors. The goal is to continue to assert ourselves on the domestic and international market as a reliable supplier of special products, who will be sought after by project supplier companies as the subcontractor of equipment within the scope of deliveries for investment events as well as smaller reconstruction work on operated units and equipment. We strive to maintain our leading position in the crane market in the field of metallurgical technological cranes. More than half of our production goes abroad.

The company also keeps the environment in mind during the course of technological development. Last year, the modern paint shop was finished and put into operation. Its parameters make it one of a kind in the Brno area and it meets the strict criteria of the Ministry of the Environment regulations.
